St. Joe Beach

St. Joe Beach is located on the northwest side of Port St. Joe, as Highway 98 runs along the coast here towards Mexico Beach and eventually to Panama City (our closest international airport). This is a west-facing shoreline that produces beautiful sunsets over the water with Cape San Blas in the distance. The waves here are usually small with a gentle surf due to the Cape being a protective peninsula on the opposite side of St. Joe Bay, but the beaches are beautiful with white sand and usually clear, blue water. Windmark Beach, a St. Joe Company-planned community/development, is located in St. Joe Beach and is attracting more residents and vacationers every year as it continues to grow and build out. Gulf County owns and preserves a good amount of the shoreline past Windmark along St. Joe Beach for public use and access, which promotes the laid-back vibe on these pet-friendly beaches (all Gulf County beaches are pet-friendly).
