After weeks of wondering and uncertainty, we now know who is going to be inaugurated on January 20. Our real estate market wasn’t affected by the uncertainty and remains strong, with five sales and ten new contracts. Sellers added twenty-seven new listings and made six price changes. Our inventory grew by fifteen, ending the week at 235, with 57 homes and 178 lots listed for sale in the Cape San Blas, Indian Pass and C-30 Corridor MLS market. I checked where we were the first full week of last year and found we are down 16% from a year ago when our inventory was at 278, with 78 homes and 200 lots listed at that time.
And that’s where 2021 starts off for us. Demand for our remote coastal real estate remains strong and I expect that to continue throughout the year. Demand for existing homes also remains strong, but with soaring building costs, demand for lots is increasing as people are shopping for land to buy and hold to build at a later point down the road. So if you’re an owner toying with selling, call or text me at 850-227-5197 or shoot an email to [email protected] and we’ll get started. I’ll be happy to provide you with an estimate of market value at no cost or obligation. Have a great week and thanks so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to stop by today.
Reminder – If you would like to read this with the links to the various listings, I can only email them to you now with our new MLS which I’ll be glad to do. Just let me know by sending me a request to [email protected] and I’ll set you up to receive my blog post with the links each week.
