Vacation rentals at the Cape are in full summer swing and and vacationers are everywhere. When beach time is over for the day, many are heading out to look at real estate and Realtors continue working non-stop to meet the demand. As a result, this week we’ve had had twenty-five closings, written up thirteen new contracts, added thirteen new listings but changed the price on only one listing which was a 30% price increase. Our inventory shed one, closing the week at 95, with 22 homes and 73 lots listed for sale in the Cape San Blas, Indian Pass and C-30 Corridor MLS market.
Our ever-dwindling inventory illustrates that demand for houses remains especially strong, but lots are moving as well, so if you’re considering selling, there has never been a hotter time to make your move. Conversely, if you’re thinking of buying, both prices and interest rates are on the rise so you might want to act sooner rather than later.
