Our market is definitely following the national trend of inventory deficit as demand is so outweighing supply and consequently pressuring pricing upward. This past week we had twelve closings and wrote up a staggering twenty-six new contracts. Sellers added twelve new listings, two of which are already under contract, and made four price changes. Compare and contrast this week’s inventory to my earliest market review in October 2017 when our inventory stood at 558, with 202 homes and 356 lots listed for sale in the Cape San Blas, Indian Pass and C-30 Corridor market to today’s total inventory of a mere 159, with just 36 houses and 123 lots listed for sale in the same market. Are you kidding me – just 36 houses? Sobering numbers.
