I read an interesting article this week citing the Florida Panhandle’s Sizzling Real Estate Market that detailed sales data for five Panhandle counties: Bay, Calhoun, Holmes, Jackson and Washington. I compared those figures to our Cape San Blas area market and our numbers are absolutely staggering. Year to Date total unit sales for Cape San Blas, Indian Pass and the C-30 Corridor are up 289% with dollar volume up 367%. Wow!
This past week we closed twelve sales and wrote up twelve new contracts. Sellers added eleven new listings and made five price changes. We only added one to our inventory, closing the week at 96, with 24 homes and 72 lots listed for sale in the Cape San Blas, Indian Pass and C-30 Corridor MLS market.
As is the case nationwide, our market is woefully short of housing inventory relative to demand. Building costs continue to soar so demand for existing homes is at an all time high.
